The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart

Tours are led by our educated, enthusiastic, elegant, volunteer docents, who are proud of our heritage and our new Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and are very happy to share it with you! Tours last approximately one hour.                     Please RSVP all Tours!
 

WEEKDAY TOURS

Groups of 10 or more may arrange to have a docent-led tour of the Co-Cathedral. These are generally scheduled for Tuesday or Wednesday. There are morning tours at 10 a.m. or afternoon tours at 1 p.m. There is usually a waiting period of 4 - 6 weeks, due to advance booking. So plan ahead! These tours are booked and reserved through the Co-Cathedral's Facility Manager, Gwenne Buck. Please email her at gbuck@sacredhearthouston.org or call 713-659-1561 ext 143.
 

SECOND SUNDAY TOURS

All are welcome to attend tours of the Co-Cathedral, which are given on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 3:30 pm. To help us estimate the number of guests and to ensure that docents are ready, please email docent@sacredhearthouston.org or call 713-659-1561 ext 333.
 

 

SELF GUIDED TOURS

Tour books are available through the offices of the Cathedral Centre (located catty-corner to back of the co-cathedral. 1701 San Jacinto; use the side entrance on Jefferson Street). Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (closed for lunch: noon - 1 pm).
 

 

For people making a self-guided tour, the co-cathedral is open:

Weekdays: 6:30 am - 6 pm. Masses are 7 am and 12:10 pm.

Saturdays: 9 am - 9 pm. Vigil Masses at 5 and 7 pm.

       Please note: Weddings are regularly scheduled throughout the day on Saturday.

                              Please call our office to check that Saturday's schedule, so that your

                              visit does not coincide with a wedding.

Sundays: 6:30 am - 9 pm. Masses at 7, 9, 11 am and 1, 5:30 and 7:30 pm.
