A retreat based off Catholic tradition stemming from The Rule of St. Benedict.
Ora et Labora
Prayer and Work
This retreat will provide a space for the faithful to come before the Eucharistic Lord in prayer and adoration before confronting the complexities faced in accompanying those in crisis pregnancies and even our own struggles to know and understand our intrinsic worth and value as the beloved sons and daughters of God.
Paired with time for community to feed and nourish our bodies and souls, as well as service projects to support the material needs of struggling families, we aim to grow in the great virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity.
For the main breakout session we will be using the Into Life Series provided by the Sister of Life. This series is not only a resource for pro-life work, but for the whole scope of human relationships – because it’s ultimately about upholding each other, about listening and accompaniment, and about affirming the other in their goodness and worth. It’s about seeing and loving in truth.
The children session will focus on reading and crafts about saints who are well known for upholding the dignity of human life.
Yes! All are invited to attend this retreat. Especially if you are working, in any capacity, with women in crisis pregnancies. If you have a group that would like to attend, please let us know and we might be able to accomidate an additonal service project specifically for your group.
This retreat is free. But, you are invited to support our parish efforts to Walk With Moms in Need by donating here.
